You Sacrifice - We're On Vacation

"Since the morning of September the 11th, we have known that the war on terror would require great sacrifice, as well. We have lost 1,864 members of our Armed Forces in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and 223 in Operation Enduring Freedom. Each of these men and women left grieving families and loved ones back home."

George W. Bush

This great struggle is going on with no calls for sacrifice from anyone but the small band of soldiers who are continually thrown in harms way by a President and Administration that had no coherent plan when the war started and no plan to take the initiative today to do any more than "stay the course". A course that has left a wake of destroyed lives behind it.

One Pissed Off Veteran asks the weekly question: when will the Bush children take up the struggle of freedom?

“It has now been 450 days since Jenna and Not-Jenna Bush, the slacker offspring of Preznit Numnutz, graduated from college and they are still not in the uniform of the US armed services. Why?”

President Bush equates the war in Iraq to the two World Wars and yet unlike those wars, when sacrifice was a national priority, President Bush only asks the families of the soldiers to sacrifice.

Is it any wonder that people are turning away from the President in droves? He interrupts a five week vacation to stand before real war veterans and speak of sacrifice, then heads off on vacation again.
