A Little Heat on Doolittle

Sacramento TV says some mean things about John and Julie Doolittle. More attacks from the liberal media.

Doolittle is connected to lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who pleaded guilty to fraud charges, and Rep. Tom DeLay. They and their associates have contributed large sums to Doolittle's campaigns. Doolittle's critics say the money should be paid back. It's an idea Doolittle rejects.

Doolittle's wife, Julie, is also coming under increasing scrutiny for making money off her husband's campaigns. A political fundraiser, Julie Doolittle was paid more than $60,000 last year by Doolittle's political action committees. Doolittle says his wife is the most effective fundraiser he's ever had. "Our consciences are clear, and we're going to submit on our record to the electorate."

The noise level grows.
