Can Nathan Be Saved?
Yes, Says Jesus' General!

Yesterday, Democratic Veteran posted the tragic story of young Republican, Nathan Taylor, who is facing a $25,000 shortfall in funds to cover the cost of the national Young Republican convention held in Las Vegas last week. The shorter version of a comprehensive post by the Vet is this:

Taylor estimates that the convention, attended by about 600 people from around the nation, is at least $10,000 -- and up to $25,000 -- in the red.

As the chairman, he said he'll personally have to cough up the cash.

No worries, Nathan. In fact, the answer to your problem was in attendance at the convention. You must have seen the recruiters brought in by OperationYellow Elephant?

With all the correspondence Nathan received from the General J. C. Christian, the moving force behind the yellow elephant crusade, it is hard to imagine that he could have missed these points:

  • The Army needs men - good war supporting, red meat eating, Republican men.
  • The Army is paying a recruiting bonus of $20,000 for a four year enlistment.

Nathan, don't make me repeat myself. You need money. You support the war in Iraq. Connect the dots.
