Clean for Five Days

After a month of what seemed like daily revelations of bribes, shadowy relationships with various convicted criminals and other malfeasance, to actually go five days without a new scandal is an accomplishment for Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham.

In fact, I hear that Duke has been approached to appear as a extra in a new Law and Order series, "Law and Order - Republican Corruption Squad." Just a working title.

Not only is Duke being courted by television, but the multi-talented Jesus' General has a movie script in the works about Duke. He recent pitched this treatment to a conservative producer:

Rep. Duke Cunningham rubs a flag and a lobbyist/genie appears, granting him the power to make ridiculously lucrative real estate deals. Duke uses this power to enrich himself through a series of house and boat deals and becomes a star on the conservative speakers circuit giving presentations about the rewards of hard work. Think I Dream of Jeanie crossed with Wall Street. I see Ernest Borgnine playing Dukeā€¦

Considering that Duke is the self-described model for the Tom Cruise character in "Top Gun," I think that Tom should have the right of first refusal on the part. And, Borgnine's work on SpongeBob SquarePants, well....I don't think he is our man.
