Rumsfeld Blames Turkey

In an interview with Al-Arabiya television, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld took a potshot at Turkey, blaming the Turkish parliament for the failed neo-con occupation of Iraq.

Rumsfeld said that one thing he would have liked to have done differently in the invasion was to have been able to send the 4th Infantry Division in through Turkey, which voted in parliament not to let U.S. troops use its territory.

Rumsfeld said a strike from Turkey would have allowed U.S. troops to reach the Sunni triangle more quickly. The area has become the hotbed of the insurgency.

It's always someone else's fault.
