WAR IS PEACE

It starts with one Marine breaking the law and standing next to a politician.

TPM has been tracking this developing story for some time now, ever since Bob Novak commented that soon Republicans were going to start to use uniformed members of the military as props at campaign events.

Of course the use of the military as props in political campaigns is hardly a new tactic for the Bush Administration.

But, like so many political mechanizations used by the Bush Administration this one was pioneered by others.
