Looking forward to dropping in on Representative Randy Cunningham's first scheduled public appearance in his district since the news of his various cozy business and personal relationships with Mitchell Wade and his MZM Incorporated broke three weeks ago.

Cunningham is scheduled to delivery the 4th of July "key note" speech at a community pancake breakfast in Encinitas. There might be some early fireworks at Cottonwood Park if, as I suspect, both media and protestors show up for the event. Cunningham's popularity in the 50th Congressional District has dropped to a point where 50% of the Republicans, in his heavily Republican district, believe that his behavior has been unethical. More critically, 43% of the polled Republicans think he should resign. That level of negative feeling among his base could cause a lot of indigestion for Cunningham.
